MacDONALD, MARGARET "PEGGY" LEE
Surrounded by her loving family, Margaret “Peggy” Lee MacDonald of Fredericton passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at home. Peggy was 71. Born in Fredericton NB on October 17, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Margaret (Kelly) Fox.
A member of the Girl Guides of Canada as well as an avid bowler, Peggy worked as a bookkeeper for over fifty years.
Survived by her two cherished daughters, Karen MacDonald (Anthony Grey) of Mactaquac and Kathy MacDonald of Fredericton; one aunt Daisy Kelly of Fredericton, four sisters-in-law; June Goodine of Fredericton, Eva Boulter (Tom) of Fredericton, Lorraine MacDonald (Hamilton Ontario), Shirley Fox (Napanee Ontario), several nieces and nephews.
Peggy was predeceased by her parents, her loving and devoted husband of 45 years, David John MacDonald, two brothers David and Donald as well as one sister in law Sara Fox.
The family will receive condolences at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, on Friday, July 17 from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM. A private graveside funeral service will be held in the Fredericton Rural Cemetery Extension, Woodstock Road with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating.
The family has suggested that memorial contributions be sent to The Girl Guides of Canada - Camp Chiplaquorgan, NB Extra Mural Foundation – Fredericton Unit or to the Oncology Department at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Extra Mural Nurse Tanya Belliveau, Dr. D. Gowan as well as Dr. Gilles Doyle.
