With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Raymond Ernest “Woody” Wood, on July 13, 2015 at the age of 92. Ray will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 67 years Verna, and his daughter Dorothy. Ray was born in Brownlee, SK and received his schooling in Moose Jaw. He served in the Army during WWII. Ray worked in the automotive and lumber industries, and after retiring helped out at Wood Acres. Ray loved to hunt, fish, play hockey, softball and curl. At Ray’s request, there will be no funeral or graveside service. In this time of sadness Verna and Dorothy request time to be alone with their memories. Please no visits or phone calls. In lieu of flowers or food, please donate to a charity of your choice. In living memory of Ray, a memorial planting will be made by W.J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.
