COUGHLAN, GORDON N.
Gordon N. Coughlan of Halifax, born April 6th, 1941, passed away peacefully on July 15th, 2015 at the Victoria General Hospital, surrounded by family and friends. 
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Vivian (Bartlett), brother Conrad “Bud”, Moncton, sisters Camilla Stoeckel and Patricia Vaughan (David), both of Florida, mother-in-law Eva Bartlett, brother-in-law, Robert (Inez) of Fredericton, nieces, Karla Coughlan (Terry Good), Donna (Ted Corby), and Jill Bartlett (John Balyta), nephews, Conrad Coughlan (Shauna), Luke Coughlan (Cheryl), and Jarrett Bartlett (Kim). He also left behind several great-nieces and great-nephews. 
He was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Jeanette Coughlan, Dalhousie, N.B. and two sisters, Joyce Cabott, Montreal and Frances Holm, Florida. 
Gordie was retired from 3M Canada. He enjoyed tennis and was a hockey enthusiast.  He loved playing his guitar and jamming with his friends.  He also was an avid ham radio operator, flight simulator and enjoyed his travels to many parts of the world. 
The family wish to thank the staff of the Palliative Care Unit for their incredible love and support. 
No flowers by request.  Donations can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Canada, Halifax Chapter, Atlantic Canada Region. 
There will be a memorial to celebrate Gordie’s life at the Future Inn, Lacewood Drive, Halifax, Saturday, July 25th from 2:00 PM until 5:00PM.  Service to begin at 2:30 PM. 
He will be sorely missed by all his family and friends.
