It is with broken hearts that we the family announce the passing of Lillian Dunn on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at the Harbour View Hospital, Sydney Mines.
Born in Lark Harbour, Newfoundland, she was the daughter of the late John and Eliza (Wheeler) Druggett.
She was formerly employed with "The Met" Sydney and The Cove Guest Home before retirement.
She was a 30-year member of the Cape Breton Antique & Custom Car Club, along with husband Gordon, where she enjoyed club cruises, car shows and many other club functions. She enjoyed being part of the Brookshaven Dart League. She was a wonderful wife and mother, looking after every ones needs prior to her own. She was a friend to all that met her. She enjoyed making trips to Newfoundland to visit with family and friends.
Lillian is survived by the love of her life, husband, Gordon Dunn, her children, Wendell (Denise), Prime Brook, Craig, Fredericton, N.B., daughter Denise Dunn, Prime Brook; three precious grandchildren, James, Lily and Olivia. She is also survived by her brother John (Carol) Druggett, Kippens, N.L.; sisters-in-law, Millie (Eric) Lordly, Emmie Dunn, brother-in-law Calvin Wheeler; her special niece, Debbie (Bryan) McLeod, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Lorraine (Ruddolf) Mouland, Isabel Wheeler, Loretta (Arthur) Wheeler, sisters-in-law, Rose, Marjorie and Vivian, brothers-in-law, Gerald, Arthur, Kenneth and Wallace.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Monday, July 27, 2015 at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial service will take place 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2015 in the funeral chapel.
