TThe death occurred on July 28, 2015, at Kings County Memorial Hospital, of Rita Geraldine McInnis (nee Nolan), of Peakes, in her 89th year.
Survived by her children, Elmer (Joan) McInnis; Kevin McInnis (Sheila MacDougall); Gary (Jo-Anne) McInnis; and Boyd MacDonald (Barb); as well as her grandchildren, Matthew, Joshua, Cody, Henry, Angela Rita, Peter Broderick, Dylan MacDonald and her great-grandchildren, Elliott and Scarlett.
Also survived by her sister, Alaine Garnier (Nolan); and sisters-in-law Marian Curley and Noreen McInnis and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her husband Elmer Joseph McInnis; her parents, Duncan and Marian Nolan; and her brothers, Walter and Francis Nolan.
Resting at St. Cuthbert’s Roman Catholic Church, St. Teresa, for visitation on Friday, July 31, 2015 from 6-9 p.m. only.
Funeral to be held at St. Cuthbert’s, Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 11 a.m. Interment in the parish cemetery.
If desired, memorial donations may be made in Rita’s memory, to the P.E.I. Federation of Foster Parents, or to Peakes Ballfield.
The CWL will hold a prayer service on Friday prior to visitation at 5:45 p.m.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to North Shore Funeral Home, Morell.
