MELANSON, MARIE S.
Marie ‘Mary’ Suzanne Melanson, 96, of Moncton, passed away at the Villa Providence, Shediac, on Tuesday, July 28, 2015. Born September 29, 1918 in Ste-Marie-de-Kent, she was the daughter of the late Zoël and Souveraine (Cormier) Meunier.
She is survived by five children: Anne LeBlanc (Regis), Beatrice Ouellette (Mike), Alban LeBlanc, Camille Melanson, and Theresa Morton; several grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and her brothers and sisters: Christine, Joséphine, Joseph, Edouard, and Omer.
Besides her husband Aurele, Marie is also predeceased by a daughter, Dorothy; two sons: Aurele ‘Titi’ and Éloi; her brothers and sisters: Clorice, Edgar, Dorilla, Léo, Emery, and Ida.
The family will receive condolences at the Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). Visiting hours Friday from 9:30 am until departure (10:50 am). The funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Assumption Cathedral, 266 St. George Street, Moncton, Friday July 31 at 11 am. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
