JARVIS, Maureen Arneildi, 82, Shelburne, passed away in Roseway Hospital on Saturday, August 1, 2015. Born at the Hawk, Cape Sable Island, she was a daughter of the late George and Lena Atwood. Maureen loved to dance to the music of David Burbine and his band and could be seen at the arena during the Shelburne County Exhibition dancing away. She loved being with family. Maureen was a “social butterfly” and enjoyed the company of others. She is survived by sisters, Ethel Firth and Georgie Nickerson as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Larry; brothers, Byron, Vincent, Irving, Leander and Lemuel Atwood and sister, Cora Nickerson. Cremation has taken place under the direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Shelburne. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
