Norma McAloney, 96, of River Hebert, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday, July 27, 2015. Born in Advocate, she was a daughter of the late Frank & Vertie (Mills) Vickery.
Norma moved to the Joggins area with her family when she was 2 years old. She loved to dance and would travel all over the county with Bill to dance. She liked crocheting , card parties and bingo.
Survived by her husband, of 31 years, William" Bill" ;son, David Hamilton (Mary) of Amherst NS; eight grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Ruth Hamilton, son, Graydon, sisters, Lena Patrick, Edna Lena in infancy her brothers, Roy. Graydon, Curtis & Austin, a brother in infancy.
Arrangements are under the direction Furlong-Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St., Amherst, NS( 902-667-8777) In keeping with Norma's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation by request. A graveside service will be held at the River Hebert Cemetery on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 3 p.m.
