The death occurred on October 4, 2014, at St. Joseph's Hospice, Thunder Bay, ON, of Ralph Bruce Gamble, of Thunder Bay, ON, formerly of Cascumpec, P.E.I., age 89, veteran of World War II. Born on September 27, 1925, in Cascumpec, he was the son of the late Bruce and Eva (MacDonald) Gamble. Dear father to Ronald and Merna. Loving grandfather to Ryan, Shawn, Clint, Chantelle and Pamela. Great-grandfather to 12 great-grandchildren. Ralph is also survived by his sister Enid Clark, Virginia, Mass.; brother Donald Gamble, King City, ON, and brother-in-law to Glen Gamble, ON; Mary Gamble, Fortune Cove; Anita Gamble, Lady Slipper Villa, O¹Leary; Jean Gamble, Cascumpec; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ralph was predeceased by his parents, sisters Blanche (Gordon) Warren; Merna (Al) Faloon, Hilda (Milton) Smallman, Elaine Gamble, brothers Alden Gamble, Keith Gamble, Heber Gamble, Alton Gamble and a sister Marion in infancy. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 16, at 1:30 p.m. at the Cascumpec United Church. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
