Bill Howard, beloved husband, father, brother and friend, passed away with family at his side on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at the age of 81 years in Calgary, AB.

Bill will be forever missed and loved by his wife Ardin, son Michael (Kori); daughters, Karen (Gerry) and Elizabeth (Graham); and grandson Benjamin (mother, Amanda). He is also survived by his sisters, Marlene, Patricia, Lyn, and Lorraine. He was predeceased by his brother Glen and sister Louise.

Bill was born in Prince Albert, SK, on January 28, 1934. After his graduation from U of A in 1965 with a Bachelor of Commerce, Bill and Ardin settled in Regina, then later moved to P.E.I. and on to Edmonton. Bill had a long and successful career in the civil service working tirelessly through his thirty five-year career in the fields of water resources and environmental protection for provincial and federal governments. After retirement, Bill and Ardin moved to Calgary to enjoy life near their grandson attending Ben’s hockey games. Bill’s other interests included golf, bird carving, reading, political interests, running, cross-country skiing, and long drives exploring the country-side. Bill and Ardin shared 55 happy years together.

A Celebration of Bill’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Crowfoot, 82 Crowfoot Circle NW, Calgary, AB), on Friday, August 21, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
