Shirley Isabel MacDonald
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Shirley Isabel MacDonald, who passed away November 14, 2014, will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at 10:30 am at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995). Reception following. A graveside interment service will follow at 3:30 pm the same day at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church Cemetery, Baie du Vin, with reception following in the church hall.
Born in Hardwicke, NB, Shirley graduated from Miramichi Rural High School and Success Business College, Moncton. Following graduation, she began her career in Moncton, retiring in 1987 from Central Guaranty Trust Co.
Shirley was a member of Central United Church and a former member of Beausejour Business Ladies Curling Club and also the Business and Professional Women’s Club.
A much loved and cherished sister and aunt, Shirley is survived by her sister, Marion (Charles Baxter) of Halifax, NS and numerous nieces and nephews throughout Canada and the US. She was predeceased by sisters, Jean Williston Keohan, Constance Williston Petri, Gwendolyn Williston Rogeau and brothers, Bliss and Blair.
Shirley spent the last three years of her life in Halifax at Bradford Hall, Parkland Retirement Living.
