Rector - Charles Tupper age 91 of Amherst passed away Sunday, August 16, 2015 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan.
Born in Amherst, he was the son of the late Tupper and Cora (Cook) Rector.
In his younger years, Charles worked in the coal mines in Springhill. He worked for Enheat in Amherst for 28 years, retiring in 1988.
Charles is survived by one sister Joan Morris of Halifax, grandchildren Charles Shawn Chapman (Linda Lutes), Jason Chapman and Michael Ford, great grandchildren Shania, Katra, Acadya, Brady and Zachery, great great grandchildren and caregiver Trudy VanSnick.
He was predeceased by his wife Ramona Harrison, daughter Doris Linda Rushton, granddaughter Carla, sisters Nell Perry, Dora Clarke, Setta and Christe and brothers Ruben, Amos, Joe, Johnny, Wesley and Harry.
Following Charles wishes cremation has taken place.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St. Amherst, (902-667-9906).
