CORMIER, EDMOND "EDDIE"
Edmond "Eddie" Cormier, 88 of the Villa Providence, Shediac and formerly of Shediac Road, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at his residence following a lengthy illness. Born December 10, 1926 in Rexton, he was the son of the late Philias and Delima Cormier.
He was the former proprietor of Acme Electric Ltd. Prior to his illness Eddie was a successful self-made business man and enjoyed many fishing trips with his son Rick.
He will be sadly missed by his son: Rick (Anise) of Moncton; one grandson: Gregory; step-children: Shauna (David) Cormier of Moncton, Gary (Jacquie) and Daren (Isabel) Nowlan of the US; step-grandchildren: Justin, Veronica, Victoria, Kaleigh, Alyssa, and Lucas.
Besides his parents he is predeceased by his first wife Alvina Cormier, an infant daughter Linda, his two sisters Adeline and Evangeline and also by his second wife Blanche Nowlan.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral and reception will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at 3pm. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe Visiting hours on Monday 7 to 9pm, on Tuesday 2pm until time of funeral.
In memory of Eddy, a contribution to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick would be appreciated by the family.
