The death occurred at the Garden Home, Charlottetown, on Sunday, August 23, 2015, of Albert Francis, Doiron, husband of the late Emma Beatrice (nee Doucette), formerly of North Rustico, aged 89.
Albert was the devoted father of Debbie Gallant (Alyre), Barry (Marie), David (Judy), Wade (Janet), Lorne (Kristine), Sandy, Glenn (Shanna) and Heather; grandfather of the late Jennifer Lidstone (Doug) and Susan (Mark); Karen (Stephen), Lori (Mike) and Rae Anne; Steven (Sarah) and Kelin; Jeremy (Nicole) and Robbie (Katie); Joshua, Taylor and Kaity; and Bryce and Drew; great-grandfather of C.J. Shyla, Kristen, Miranda, Cameron, Evan, Emily, Ira, Fiona, Connor, Kiarra, Ella and Maeve. He is also survived by his sisters, Anita Gallant, Inez Doiron, and Lorraine Carr; brothers, Elmer (Louise) and Dalis (Barb); sister-in-law, Bernice Doiron; brother-in-law, Norman Kennedy; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Albert was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Laura (Martin) Doiron; granddaughter, Jennifer Lidstone; great-grandson, Ambrose Fitzpatrick; brother, Martin; sisters, Agnes Perry, Rachel Warren and Carol Kennedy; brothers-in-law, Louis Doiron, Willie Perry, Milford Warren, George Carr and Tommy Gallant.
Resting at Central Queen's Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Wednesday, August 26, 2015, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, North Rustico, Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. Interment in Stella Maris Cemetery.
