Donald Angus Ferguson Jr., age 84 passed away Friday, August 21, 2015 at the Kyle Health Centre. The graveside service was held at Turner Cemetery, Kyle District on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 2:00 pm with Reverend Jim McNaughton officiating. Honorary pallbearers were all who shared in his life. Donald is survived by 1 brother, Neil of Kelowna, BC; 2 sisters, Margaret Fuller of Swift Current and Eda Hovland of Kyle; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Donald was predeceased by his parents Donald Sr. on May 2, 1966 and Viola on March 6, 1987; and his sister Isabelle Davis of Kyle on July 22, 2015. Donald was born at the Red Cross Outpost Hospital at Tuberose, SK on March 5, 1931. He attended Horse Butte School through Grade 9 and after that worked fulltime on the family farm. In 1961, his parents moved into Kyle and Don purchased the farm. It remained in his possession for the next 50 years. His many hobbies included gun collecting, target-shooting, gardening, carpentry, and mechanics. In 2010, due to declining health, he moved into the Kyle Health Centre where he enjoyed excellent care until the time of his passing. He especially enjoyed spending time in the Wandering Garden. Don will be fondly remembered and sadly missed.
