Trenton - Russell Havlock Sewell. It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother on September 8, 2015. Born in New Glasgow on May 6, 1941, he was a son of the late Joseph and Winnifred (Gunning) Sewell. Russell was a welder at Trenton Works for 44 years, a brick layer, carpenter, and truly a jack of all trades. Russell loved to have family and friends over for his legendary lobster birthday suppers and his famous lobster chowder. Russell enjoyed puttering around the house, gardens, and telling his favorite stories. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sandra (Millen); sons: Brad, Leduc, AB; Mike (Doreen), Chance Harbour Road; Kirby (Adela), Abbotsford, BC; siblings: Jackie (Nettie), Halifax; Judy (Stan) McClary, Halifax; grandchildren: Samantha, John, Cory, Greg, Christian, Gage and Bodie Sewell; great granddaughter, Rebecca; several nieces and nephews and grampie’s boy, Oscar; sisters-in-law: Diane Sewell; Carolyn Sewell; Evelyn Millen; Robina (Jim) Kellett; brother-in-law, Tom Favier. He was predeceased by his twin brother, Ross; brother, Jerry; sister-in-law, Lillian Favier; brother-in-law, Frank Millen. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place from 2-6 pm Saturday at 274 North Main St., Trenton. A private burial will be held in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens. Donations in his memory may be made to the Diabetes Association. Arrangements are under the direction of the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, Trenton. Condolences may be sent by visiting: www.rhporter.ca
