It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Sarah 'Sally' MacDonald, 87, of Judique, which occurred surround by her loving family on Sept. 10, 2015 at the Strait Hospital, Evanston.
Born in Sydney Mines, she was a daughter of the late James R. and Rhodena (MacDonald) Quinn.
Sally was a member of St. Andrews Parish, Judique and of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 43. Sally found humor daily through her conversations and always had a joke with the numerous visitors who were always welcomed to her home. A proud Irish Canadian, she enjoyed music, a good movie, her favourite tabloid but most of all spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, Bill (Mary), Quinn (Florence), Jim (Evelyn), Tom (Nicera) and Bob; daughters, Dena (Calvin) MacKinnon, Patrice (Danny) MacPhee, Catherine, Loretta (Derrick) Fox, Ardi (Iain) MacEachern, 35 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert and sister, Erva Babson.
Sally was predeceased by her husband, John G. 'Jocksey'; son, Brian; brothers, James R., Joe, Michael, in infancy and sister Joan.
A memorial service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. from St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Allan MacMillan presiding.
