Noreen Mary Fitzpatrick (nee Power)

Passed on: September 10th, 2015

It is with a deep heartfelt sadness that we announce the end of a great earthly journey taken by a very gentle lady; Noreen Mary (Power) Fitzpatrick, on September 10, 2015. Leaving to celebrate her most beautiful and inspirational life are her loving children; Darrin and Sherry, DeeAnn (Baby Girl) (Doug), Darryl (Dill) and Jackie. She will be greatly missed by her two most beloved treasures Liam and Riley who know that Nanny is with the angels in heaven continuing her calling as a teacher. She is survived by her loving sisters Marg (Jim) and Joan (Gerald), loving brothers; Pete, John (Alice) and Mick. Noreen was predeceased by her daughter Siobhan, father and mother (Robert and Helen), sister Evelyn (Aunt Sal) and her brothers Pat, Bob and Don and nieces and nephews. Noreen has touched countless family members, friends and strangers by her infinite generosity, wisdom and humor. All who know her will remember her gentle demeanor, gigantic heart and the comforting reassuring smile that said, "Everything will be alright". Specific family, friends and neighbor's names have not been mentioned to honor her thoughtful and giving nature to ensure that everyone would always be included and that no one would ever be forgotten. Our family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Sherry for ensuring that Mom was very well taken care of until we could come home. The Fitzpatrick family would also like to express a special thank you to Dr. Karen Downton and the dedicated medical staff in the ICU and 4 North A of the Health Sciences Centre. Cremation has taken place as per her wishes. There will be a time to laugh and a time to cry with us as we celebrate her life among family and friends as she would have wanted. Please make a donation to a charity of one's choice if you feel the need to do so.
