Passed peacefully away at his residence in Clarke's Beach surrounded by his loving family on September 11, 2015. Mr. Smith was 85 years old. He leaves to mourn his loving family: loving wife of 58 years: Verna (nee Snow); daughters: Colleen (Eric Kavanagh), Charlene (Allen Taylor) and Claudene (Joseph Hartery); son: Cordell (Tina); eight grandchildren: Kelly, Deon (Paula), Jamie (Courtney), Devon (Jolene), Emily, Amy, Neil and Melissa; six great-grandchildren: Nicholas, Benjamin, Kyanna, Samantha, Rachel and Jaxon; cousin: Carl Smith and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by: parents: Cyril and Violet Smith; brothers: Victor (Maude) and Angus (Jessie); sister: Cavell (Azariah and Warren); parents-in-law: Harold and Myrtle Snow; brother-in-law: Alvin Snow. The funeral service will take place at the Clarke's Beach United Church, Clarke's Beach on Tuesday, September 15, 2015, 2 P.M. Inurnment will take place at a later date. STICK DRIVE, BAY ROBERTS, between the hours of Sunday: 10 A.M. - 9 P.M., Monday: 10 A.M. - 9 P.M. and Tuesday: 10 A.M. - 12 Noon.
