Lowell Lee
Westville - Lowell Ray Lee, age 58, of Westville, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at home.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Bessie Lee Cooke.
He was raised by his grandmother, Amelia Lee.
He was employed with the Pictou County YMCA for 32 years.
Lowell loved fishing and gardening and was an inductee of the Pictou County Sports Heritage Hall of Fame for baseball.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann (Walsh); sons, Jason (Maria) Walsh, Fort McMurray, AB, Joel Boyce, Pictou; daughters, April Murray, Stellarton, Sindi Lee, Pictou; grandchildren: Chanice, Nikkila, Lucas and Michael; sisters: Star Diggs, Montreal, QC; Roxanne (Thomas) Green, Halifax; Charlene (Robert) Smith, New Glasgow; brothers: Brian (Maina), Halifax; Dana (Kelly), Stellarton; uncle, Archie Lee, Halifax.
He was predeceased by a son, Kleon and a brother, Peter. Cremation has taken place.
Visitation 7-9 pm Friday in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow, from where funeral service will take place at 11 am Saturday, with Capt. Neil Abbott officiating. Burial will be in Lorne Street Cemetery.
