Catherine Ann Campbell, Stellarton
With heavy hearts and great sadness we announce the passing of Catherine Ann Campbell, age 36, of Stellarton.
She was born in the Aberdeen Hospital on January 15, 1979. She was the second child of three to Dwight and Susan Campbell (nee Reekie).
Catherine was a dedicated police officer with the Truro Police Services for 6 years. She was also a volunteer member of the Stellarton Fire Department for 10 years. Anything Catherine pursued in her life she gave her heart, with passion and integrity. If you ever needed anything, whether it be something small or large she was always willing and eager to help. She will be deeply and sincerely missed. She was a woman who wore many different hats. She could be the caring, compassionate police officer, the courageous and fearless firefighter, a loyal loving daughter, a special sister, a caring friend, a caring aunt, she was like no other.
She is survived by her parents Dwight and Susan Campbell, Stellarton; sister Amy Garneau (Calvin), Stellarton; brother Jarret (Dawn), Stellarton; niece and nephew Autumn and Lucas Garneau and her fur babies Justice and Blaze; uncles Steve Reekie, Brian Campbell (Heather), Harvey Campbell (Michelle), aunts Mandy Wong (Duane), Lynn Rockey (Fred), Claire MacFarlane (Robert) and many cousins.
She was predeceased by maternal grandparents Alonzo “Lonnie” and Evelyn “Evie” Reekie, paternal grandparents Kenneth and Anna Campbell.
Visitation will be from 2-5 and 6-9 pm on Sunday, September 20th, 2015 in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home 256 King St., New Glasgow. Memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Monday, September 21, 2015 in the First Presbyterian Church, Stellarton with Rev. Charles McPherson officiating. Private Family burial will take place in Duff Cemetery. A reception will follow in the Stellarton Fire Hall. Donations in memory of Catherine may be made to the Catherine Campbell Memorial Trust Fund C/O the Royal Bank P.O. If my parting life has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy, A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss…. Ah, Yes, these things I too will miss.
