We, the family of Sharon Elizabeth Petrie, regret to announce her passing on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2015, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Sydney on Nov. 7, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Serrick) Kaloc.
In her earlier years, Sharon was employed as a hairdresser at Chez Leon and in later years, a rental car agent at Tilden Rent-a-Car and Budget Rent-a-Car.
Surviving are her loving husband, Nelson; son, Sgt. Brent Petrie, Halifax; sister, Marlene (Paul) Confiant, Caribou Marsh; daughter-in-law, Stacey Milne; grandchildren, Olivia and Nolan Petrie; nieces, Shannon and Andree Confiant and nephew, PJ Confiant. She will be sadly missed by her extended family, the Petries.
A graveside service will take place at Forest Haven Memorial Gardens on Thursday, 11 a.m., with Mr. Gary Grant officiating.
