Passed peacefully away at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Tuesday, September 22, 2015, Patricia Rose Piercey, at the age of 66 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her two sons: Stephen (Bambi) and David Piercey; sister Ann MacWhirter; brother Shawn McCarthy; brothers-in-law: Darrell Piercey (Sandra) and Wayne MacWhirter; special aunt Sister Theresa March; nieces and nephews and friends. Also her extended family at The Lohnes Complex where she was a resident for the past four years. She was predeceased by the father of her children, Reginald Piercey in 2013; her parents Paul and Victoria McCarthy; brothers David and Donald McCarthy, as well as her parents-in-law Freeman and Beatrice Piercey. Patricia was a dedicated teacher and devoted 30 years of her life teaching in the Western School District with 25 of those years being spent at All Hallows School. In keeping with Patricia's wishes cremation has taken place. Friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place from Country Haven Funeral Chapel on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with Deacon Andrew White officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations in Patricia's memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the charity of one's choice.
