McLAUGHLIN, JOHN "JACK"
The death of Jack McLaughlin of Rusagonis, NB occurred on September 23rd, 2015 at White Rapids Manor. Born July 28th, 1932, he was the son of the late Ernest and Grace (Wood) McLaughlin and husband to Violet (Warren) McLaughlin.
Jack enrolled in the RCAF on March 2nd, 1951 in Moncton and was posted at Chatham, Comox, Bagotville, Rockcliffe, Toronto, Baden Soellingen, NDHQ and twice to Gagetown. He retired in 1981 as a Base Supply Sergeant.
Jack is survived by his wife of 59 years, Violet of Rusagonis; his children, Heather Campbell (George) of Lincoln, Pamela Matheson (Tim) of French Lake, NB and Darcy McLaughlin (Lori) of Edmonton, AB; grandchildren, Shawna Shanks (Jamie), Kelly Barker (Joe), Matthew Matheson (Natalie) and Melanie Matheson (Jon); step-grandchildren, Jodi McKale (Darren), Jamie Unger (Conor) and Shannon Quesada (Ricardo); great- grandchildren, Camden, Bryce, Blake, Evan, T.J., Faith, Reece and Mahayla; step-great-grandchildren, Sam, Cohen, Kate, Rylie, Hanna, Sadie, Keira, Abby and Liam; two brothers, Howard (Marina) of Rusagonis, NB and David (Anna) of French Lake, NB; sisters-in-law, Jackie McLaughlin, Barbara McLaughlin and Annie Daley, brothers-in-law, John, Larry and Dale Warren as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents; his brothers, Leland, Maurice, Bob, Don and Billy; sisters, Margaret, Edna and Bessie and an infant sister, Marion.
The family wish to thank the staff of White Rapids Manor for the excellent care and compassion they have shown to Jack and his family while under their care.
Visitation will be held at Oromocto Funeral Home on Friday, September 25th, 2015 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service will be held at Rusagonis Baptist Church on Saturday, September 26th, 2015 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Brent MacDonald officiating. Interment will be in the Rusagonis Station Cemetery.
