It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother Margie on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2015.
Born on June 15, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Jessie Locke.
Margie is survived by her husband of 53 years Ralph as well as four children, Cheryl Cleroux, Norman (Lynn) Moore, Shauna (Robert) Hall and Raymond (Anita) Moore; four grandchildren, Andrew (Samantha) Cleroux, Anthony (Stephanie) Cleroux, Chantal Cleroux and Breanna Metcalfe and two great-grandchildren, Thea and Isabelle. She also leaves behind sisters, Lucy (William) Degout, Debra Kipinto, Martha Bartlette, Doris Devison, Beulah King, Gloria (William) Kutcherwy; brothers Art (Karen), Tommy (Marie) and Len as well as many nieces and nephews.
Margie was a longtime employee at the Metropolitan store in Glace Bay. She was a reserved woman who loved bowling, crafts, bingo and playing cards. She took great pride in her family, friends and home.
As requested by Margie cremation has taken place. Visitation will be at Patten Funeral Home on Sunday, Sept. 27, 2015 from 2-4 a d 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place at the Salvation Army Cathedral at 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 28.
Our sincere thanks to the wonder staff at the Palliative Care Unit at the C.B. Regional Hospital and the staff of the VON for the compassion shown during our difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the CB Palliative Care Unit or the Salvation Army.
