Passed peacefully away on Thursday, September 24, 2015, Doris May Smith (Ryder) in her 86th year. Leaving to mourn her children and their families: Cathy, Bob, Erica (Merrill Bullen) and Matthew Byrne; Paul and Adelaide Smith; Michele, Bill, Jillian (Matthew Norman) and Christopher Hunt and very special great grandchild Lila Bullen. Also leaving to mourn life-long friend, Josette Kielley. Doris was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Hubert (1996) and siblings Gordon, Meta Tessier, Agnes. Special thanks to the staff at Cambridge Estates for their love and attention during her two years of independent living under their care. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home 329 Freshwater Rd. on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral service will be held in St. Thomas Anglican Church on Monday September 28, 2015 at 2: 30 p.m. Interment to follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
