STEWART, Thomas ‘Tommy’ Daniel– 56, of Water Street, Pictou passed away September 24, 2015 at home.
Born in Pictou, he was a son of Josephine (Partridge) and the late Irwin ‘Irving’ Stewart. Tommy worked in his early years at the feed mill in Pictou for 20 years and then North Nova Seafoods for the past four years. Tommy was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Tommy is survived by his two sons who he adored, Bradley; Shawn (Krista); grandson Dillon who he loved so dearly; siblings Irwin ‘Irk’ (Susan); Ann (Sid); Emma (Philip) MacKenzie; Johnny (Sharon); and Joey; former wife Christina (Dakins); several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Jimmy.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be from 7-9 PM on Monday in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. Funeral service with mass will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday in Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, Pictou with Father Peter MacDonald officiating. A reception will follow in the parish hall. Private family committal will be held in Waterside Cemetery. Family flowers only please.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Kidney Foundation, or Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church Building Fund. Stella Maris C.W.L will meet at the funeral home at 6:45 PM on Monday to recite prayers.
