Gail Anthony
Passed in: Westmount, Canada
It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of Gail Anthony, 50, on Sept. 27, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, much loved daughter of Lawrence and Gerry (Routledge) Anthony, Westmount.
Gail worked at Westside Building Supplies and maintained many friends for many years. Then for the past 23 years, worked at JJ Barrington’s alongside Joe, Kirby and Michelle.
At the age of 50, Gail had done a lot in her life. She was a leader for Westmount Brownies and Girl Guides, past president of the Westmount Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, and, as such, organized many a bowling tournament. She was a member of CGIT. She also was a member of the Westmount Fire Dept. Dart League. An avid tarabish player who loved a good game. Bingo was a favourite pastime with her many friends and her mother.
She was a much loved aunt to Riley and Liam who she cherished with all her heart. Sister to David and Becky, who were two of her best friends. She was niece to Sonny Anthony, Westmount, Gordon (Dawna) Anthony, New Brunswick, Lorna (Denny) O’Day, Worchester Massachusetts, Carol Anne (Jim) Manson, Fourchu, Betty (Stewart) Morris, Dutch Brook, Weston Anthony, Dominion, Patricia (Freddy) McLellan, New Waterford, Barbara (David) Gouthro, Gardiner Mines.
