Passed peacefully away at the St. John's Longterm Care Facility, on Monday, September 28, 2015, at age 65, after a lengthly illness. Predeceased by her parents Eli and Greta Abbott, and sister Yvonne. Leaving to mourn her loving husband of 44 years, Eugene; sons: Michael (Julie) and Ken; daughter Tina Toope (Shawn); grandchildren: Kenny, Jack, Tristen, and Shawna; sisters: Phyllis, Joan Abbott (Clyde), Joyce Hayward, and Evellyn Pearce (Ches); brothers: Eric (Delores), Alex (Sue), Ross (Kim), and Wayne; brothers-in-law: Gerald Curtis (Muriel), and Glenn (Beth); also a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation to take place at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl, on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 29th and 30th, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Memorial service to be held from Barrett's Chapel on Thursday, October 1st, at 11 am. Interment at later date. Flowers accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation.
