Harold E. MacLeod

Peacefully and surrounded by his family, at the Dr. John Gillis Memorial Lodge, Eldon on Wednesday, September 30, 2015, of Harold E. MacLeod, age 90. Beloved husband and most compassionate companion of Dorothy (Robinson) MacLeod for the past 67 years.
Harold lived his entire life in Uigg on the family farm and he also operated the Dunvegan Farm Motel and Tourist Home. Harold was the last surviving member of Samuel E. MacLeod and Mabel (VanIderstine) MacLeod.
Beloved father of Keir MacLeod (Michelle Martell), Ian MacLeod (Faye), Glen MacLeod (Sharon), Heather MacLeod (George McInnis). Beloved Grampie of Kirk, (Melissa McIsaac), Amanda MacGuigan (John), Ellen Irwin (Chris), Derek, Justin (Clancey), Jeffery, Matthew (Shaunacea Fisher), Sam, Adam and Grant MacLeod. Beloved great-grandfather to nine great-grandchildren. Also survived by sisters-in-law, Verna Younker (Omar), Joyce Robinson and brothers-in-law, Virden Robinson (Naomi), Gerald Robinson (Eleanor) and Sheldon Hume. Predeceased by his parents, Samuel E. MacLeod and Mable (VanIderstine) MacLeod; his brothers and sisters, Malcolm (Marjorie), Florence MacLean (Floyd), Gordon (Myrtle), Alex (Florrie), Edwin, Marion MacLeod (Walter), Esther Jeffords (Ralph), Jim (Winnie), Ray (Mary), Peggy Hume, Olive Arthur (Ken), Esther Ella and Louise MacLeod; his mother and father-in-law, George and Bertha (Vessey) Robinson; and his sisters and brothers-in-law, Lillian Stewart, Eva Robinson, George Robinson and Earle Robinson.
Resting at the Belvedere Funeral Home, 175 Belvedere Ave., Charlottetown, P.E.I. from where the funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Friday, October 2, 2015 at 1 p.m. Interment in the Uigg Cemetery, Uigg, P.E.I. Visiting hours Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
