CHIN, JOE KUO CHU
Joe Chin, 85, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, September 30, 2015. Born in Taishan, China, he was the son of the late Ming Chi Chin and Wai Yu Wong.
In 1952, Joe immigrated to Moncton from China. In 1959, he returned to Hong Kong to marry the love of his life, Sik Ying Chin (Lau). Joe was a retired chef and former co-wwner of the Ming Garden Restaurant. A kind and generous man, he always had a smile for everyone. He enjoyed keeping up with current events, walking and reading.
In addition to his wife, Sik Ying Chin (Lau), Joe will be sadly missed by his daughter, Susan Chin (Thomas Fulton) of Fredericton; sons, Terry Chin (Tuo Ji) of Ottawa, ON and John Chin of Moncton; grandchildren, Roger Fulton and Hunter Chin; two sisters and one brother.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one brother and one sister.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Saturday, October 3, 2015 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Service at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at 1:30 pm, with Pastor Scott Ryder officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment, Forest Hill Cemetery, Fredericton.
