Frances MacSween

Born In: Glace Bay

Passed in: Glace Bay
Passed on: September 30th, 2015

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our wife and mother, Frances MacSween on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2015 at the Glace Bay Hospital.
Born in Glace Bay, she was a daughter of the late Archibald Kenneth and Frances (MacNeil) MacNeil.
Frances was employed at General Instruments at one time and her work endeavours continued from home both as a mother and housewife. She also would babysit many children and cleaned many houses. She enjoyed making and displaying her craft work, having fun and going to bingo. Frances was a good person, kind, thoughtful, good natured and always put others before herself. She was many things to many people, a devoted and caring wife to Trevor for 46 years. For her daughter, Jo-Anne, she epitomized motherhood and demonstrated wisdom in whatever she did. She was their best friend. Good fun and long lasting memories were found in the simplest of pleasures with Frances. She will be fondly remembered by everyone whose life she touched. For her daughter Jo-Anne, she will always be a part of her life. A part of Frances will continue her journey inside of Jo-Anne. Frances had a great attitude and love of life that never faltered during her battle with COPD. She was an inspirational person who will be loved forever by Trevor and Jo-Anne.
There will be no visitation or funeral service at the request of the family.
Arrangements are under the care of Curry’s Glace Bay Funeral Home, 775 Main St.
