HOLT, HAZEL CHRISTINA
Hazel C. Holt of Harvey, NB passed away October 2, 2015 at the Oromocto Public Hospital. Hazel was born at Harvey, NB in 1920, a daughter of the late Charles and Margaret (Messer) Cleghorn.
She worked as a homemaker for several years and she enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Hazel faithfully attended Harvey United Pentecostal Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Phyllis Murphy (Patrick), Canso, NS; three sons, Frank Holt (Pauline), Magaguadavic, NB, Roderick Holt (Sharon), Saint John, NB and Paul Holt (Mary Lee), Blaney Ridge, NB; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Glenna Grant, Ottawa, ON; a sister-in-law, Shirley Cleghorn, Harvey, NB; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Lorenzo Holt in 1978; a son, George Holt; five sisters, Ruby Rideout, Annie Miller, Frances McMurtrie, Edna Charters and Eunice Cook; three brothers, Vincent, Irvine and Hazen Cleghorn; a grandson, Scotty Holt and a great-granddaughter, Sarah Holt.
Visiting hours will be held at Harvey United Pentecostal Church, 2031 Route 3, Harvey Station, NB on Monday evening from 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at 2 pm from the church with Rev. John MacMullin officiating. Interment at Cherry Mountain Cemetery.
