YERXA, WAYNE DERWOOD
It is with sadness that we announce the death of Wayne D. Yerxa, age 75, of Scotch Lake, NB on October 3, 2015 at the Dr. Chalmers Regional Hospital surrounded by his family. Born at Mactaquac, NB he was a son of the late Chester and Lydia (Brewer) Yerxa.
He was affiliated with the Baptist Church and a Carpenter employed with King Construction. Wayne was an avid outdoorsman, loved to hunt and enjoyed his fishing trips to Oromocto Lake with his friend Clayton Piercy.
Survived by his children David (Cathy) of Springfield, Richard of Scotch Lake, Kevin (Tammy) of Upper Caverhill, Neil of Scotch Lake, Pamela (Rob) of Keswick; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters Gertrude McKeen, Ruth Hill, Connie LeBreton; brother Philip Yerxa; numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his sisters Marjorie Thornton, Greta McLaughlin, brothers Gerald, Royden, Harold, Dale, Russell, Arden.
Although there will be no visitation, a funeral service will be held at the Mactaquac Baptist Church on Wednesday October 7, 2015 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Peter Beckwith assisted by Rev. George Clark. Interment will be private at a later date.
For those who wish in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the SPCA or Canadian Cancer Society NB Division.
