ARMSTRONG, JOHN MILTON
John Milton Armstrong of Saint John passed away unexpectedly at home on October 1, 2015. Born in Saint John, July 24th of 1953, he was the son of the late Donald and Jean (Stanley) Armstrong.
John worked at the Saint John Shipbuilding and Dry Dock for many years. He loved life and family but music was his passion and in the 70’s he played bass guitar for the band “Pendulum” with his parents and brothers. John loved playing pool, the Boston Bruins and was an avid collector of all manner of gadgets. He really had a green thumb and one of his joys was planting a flower garden and using it as a way to embrace the kids in the neighborhood.
John is survived and will be missed by his daughter Kari (Neil) of Oromocto; son Peter (Kate) of Saint John; four precious grandchildren Kolton, Khloe, Korie, Kaydence and baby Alexis due in November; brothers Keith and Wayne (Bonnie); sisters Diane Latouche (Eugene), Sandra Roy (David), Susan Landry (Dennis), Tracy (Mark) and Pam Chislett (Larry); several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Besides his parents, John was predeceased by his sister Debi Madore.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Tuesday, October 6th from 3 to 8 p.m. A private family interment will be held at a later date Seventh Day Adventist Cemetery in Barnsville.
Donations in John’s memory can be made to a living memorial at the Fundy Funeral Home or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
