Ruth Fraser
Hopewell: Ruth Ann Fraser age 72 of Marshdale Rd. Hopewell passed away on Thursday Oct 1st ,2015 in the Halifax Infirmary .
Born in Kitchener ,Ont she was a daughter of the late William“Bill” Riedel and Ida M. (Harrison) Olender.
Ruth Ann was a resident of Hopewell since 1973.
She and her husband Cyril operated Village Variety in Hopewell for a number of years.
Ruth Ann’s  love , caring and generosity  will be deeply missed by all but will never be forgotten . She touched the hearts of many who would come to the store and her home for her talks and cooking.
She had a passion for helping the Eureka & District Volunteer Fire Dept. and  was proud of her sons being members.
Ruth Ann was very fond of her cats.
She was involved in group committee for scouts and cubs and Hopewell Recreation .
Suriviving are her husband of 53 years Cyril, Sons : Lee (Dawn) and Sean (Dawn), Grandchildren : Christina ,Becky , Deidre , Jessie , David , Storm and Chloe, Great grandchildren : Jude , Duncan , Dale and Marcy, Siblings Larry (Sharon) Riedel, William”Bill” (Lynne) Riedel, Beverly (James) Martin, Judy Ebenhoeh, Carl (Georgina) Olender, Brad (Tanya) Olender, Tony (Karen ) Olender, Rob Olender.
The family will receive visitors from 2-4 &7-9 P.M. on Tuesday in the H.C.MacQuarrie Funeral Chapel , Stellarton.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 2 P.M. from the Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles McPherson officiating .
Burial will be in the Hopewell Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers , donations may be made to the Aberdeen Hospital Emergency Dept. ,who the family thank for the care provided to Ruth Ann.
