Chapman, Phyllis
Phyllis Chapman, of Moncton passed away at The Moncton Hospital on October 15, 2015 at the age of 90.
Born in Head of Amherst, NS, on April 26, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Margaret (Beaton) Chapman.
Phyllis is survived by her sister Catherine Seaman of Mass and her half-sister Florence Bezanson of Turro, NS.
She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews and will be dearly missed by her many friends.
Aside from her parents, Phyllis was predeceased by her husband Victor Chapman in 2006, sisters; Joyce Sheppard, Frances Hopper, brother, Edwin Chapman and her half-brothers; Guy Smith and Dana Smith.
Phyllis was a member of the Mountain View United Church, the Federal Service National Association, the Lions Seniors Club and a life member of the Pythian Sisters Elizabeth Temple #6 and the Beaver Curling Club.
She was an Avid bridge player, enjoyed painting and she was a former member of the Moncton Golf and Country Club.
Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home with visitation on Sunday, October 18, 2015 from 2 to 4 pm. A funeral service will be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home on Monday at 11:00 am. Interment will take place in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. Donations in Phyllis’ memory may be made to Friends of The Moncton Hospital or a charity of the donor’s choice.
