Peters: Alvin James Peters, age 64 of McMahon, SK passed away October 13, 2015 at Cypress Regional Hospital. The Graveside Service was held Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Swift Current, SK with Pastor Bob Cappelle officiating. Alvin is survived by his brothers; Ronald, Archie and Robert Peters; sisters-in-law Ginger Peters and Winnie Casimel; six nieces and four nephews and their families. He was predeceased by his parents Lewis and Katherine Peters; brothers Gordon and Norman Peters; sisters-in-law Margaret Peters and Patricia Peters; one nephew Craig Peters. Alvin was born on August 27, 1951 in Swift Current. He attended school in McMahon, Wymark and Swift Current. Alvin worked at Agnew Surpass in Saskatchewan and then moved to Manitoba and worked at Kelly Roberts, Thompson Nickel Mine, Bay Bronze and Waluk's Gulf Service Station. He then moved to BC and worked at Endako Mines and Fraser Lake Sawmill. He returned home to McMahon and began work for local farmers in the area. Alvin enjoyed crossword puzzles, Trivial Pursuit, reading and mowing and pruning trees. Alvin will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by his family and friends.
