Murray, Dana Ellsworth, age 61, of Westfield, Queens County, passed away on Friday, October 16th, 2015, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late Charles Alexander Murray. Above all else Dana was passionate about his family and spending time with them. Once you became a friend and he took a liking to you, you became member of his adopted family. Dana was well known for his abilities as a story teller, having a great sense of humor and a warm loving heart. In his younger years Dana worked at the Halifax Dockyards and for Dominion Steel before going to work for many years at the N.F. Douglas Lumber Mill, as a lumber grader, retiring in 2006, due to ill health. He was a lover of nature and the great outdoors, and was happiest when out deer hunting or tracking through the woods. He is survived by his loving wife, the former Lynn Lewis; daughter, Tracy Murray (Dr. Bobby Ellis), of Wolfville; son, Scott, of Calgary; country brother, Kevin Mansfield, city brother, Layton MacDonald. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A Memorial service will be held at a later date. No flowers by request.
