It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Allan MacIntosh Roblee of Collingwood, at the age of 100. Allan passed away peacefully at the High Crest Nursing Home, Springhill on Wednesday, October 28, 2015.
Born in Streets Ridge, NS, he was a son of the late Frank and Sadie (Morris) Roblee.
Allan was a member of the Masonic Lodge Widow's Son # 48 Lodge, River Philip. In 2001 he received his 50 year Jewel, one of the highest honors bestowed upon a Mason. He was a Shriner, and member of the Collingwood United Church. He worked in the woods and at construction work during his life.
He is survived by son, Glenn (Lorraine), Bible Hill, NS.
He was predeceased by wife Nina (Taylor) and grandson, Paul. The last surviving member of his immediate family , he was predeceased by sisters Mabel Gildart, Hazel Brown, Ethel Davison, Vera Gildart and Jean Dobson and a brother Arnold.
Arrangements have been entrusted to W. Allen Funeral Home, 60 Water St., Oxford, NS (902-447-2167) where visiting hours will take place on Sunday, November 1, 2015 from 2 to 4 pm. The funeral service will be held at the Collingwood United Church on Monday, November 2, 2015 at 2 pm. Burial will take place in the Wyvern Cemetery, followed by a reception at the Collingwood United Church provided by the UCW.
