Dad was born in Donkin, N.S., the eldest son of Thomas and Gladis Wadden and was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Dad passed away in his adopted country of Scotland at the Bridge of Don, Aberdeen.
Dad had lived in Scotland since 1947.
He was a Second World War veteran, member of the Royal Canadian Legion in Donkin, Br. 5, and a former member of the Donkin Brass Band.
Dad was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Gladys Wadden; wife Mary (Findlay); daughter, Norma (Moir) and son Dr. Earl (Sandy) Wadden; sisters, Viola (Ted), Annabelle (Stu); and brother, Lawrence (Velma).
Dad is survived by his daughter, Mary Lou (Albert) Greenhowe, Aberdeen, Scotland; sons, Tommy (Margaret), Chisasibi, Quebec, and Stewart (Ronda), Port Caledonia, Cape Breton; grandchildren Clint, Clark and Kirk Greenhowe, Earl, Brian, Mark, David and Glen Wadden, Norma, Terri Lynn and Ross Wadden, Cai, Keely and Cailin Wadden, and Cassandra Arsenault; nephews Robert (Arlene) and Brian (Bertha) Wadden; nieces Lynn (Bruce) May and Kathy (Arthur) Baxter; numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.
Donations in Dad’s memory may be made to the Salvation Army or a charity of one’s choice.
Burial to take place at the Cruden Parish Church, Cruden Bay, Aberdeenshire on Nov. 3, 2015.
