George Michael "GM" Trainor
The death occurred peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Prince County Hospital on Sunday, November 1, 2015, of George Michael “GM” Trainor of Shamrock, at the age of 77 years. Beloved husband of 54 years of Eileen (McMurrer) and father of Michael (Gertrude), Shamrock; Cathy, Ottawa; David, Shamrock; Garth, Sussex; Brian (Shelley), Kingston; Mary (Kevin Toole), Appin Road; Teresa (Brent Warren), Ottawa; Paula (Karel Svoboda), Hamilton; Steven (Jitka), Ottawa, and Matthew, Ottawa. Survived by grandchildren, Katie, Sophie, Thomas and Mary-Leah Toole, Kassie, Kyle, Kaeden, Lincoln, Mackian, Patrick, John and Martin Trainor and Ella, Abigail and Charlotte Warren. Also survived by his sister, Sr. Elizabeth Trainor, Sisters of Charity, Halifax, and sisters and brothers-in-law Leonard (Debbie) McMurrer, Florence Trainor, Anita (Jim McGuigan) and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his son Wayne, his parents Joseph and Ella (McKenna) and his brothers and sisters Louis, Mary (Peter) Creamer, Fr. Lorne, SJ, Fr. Emmett, SJ, Sr. Teresa (Sisters of Saint Martha), Anna (Jim) Hachev, Wilfred, Fr. John, SJ, Una (Joe Flood) and Bernadette in infancy. Visitation at Kinkora Place, Kinkora, on Wednesday, Nov. 4, from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral will be held at St. Malachy’s Church, Kinkora, on Thursday, Nov. 5, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery.
