Peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit of the Western Hospital, Alberton, on Thursday, November 5, 2015, with her loving family by her side, of Julia Mary Pitre, beloved wife of the late John Joseph Pitre, of St. Felix, age 89 years. Born March 18, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Alma (nee Chaisson) Gaudet. Loving mother to Tilmen, of St. Felix; Gloria (Vince) Murnaghan, of Fort Augustus; Loretta (Wendell) Murphy, of Springfield, PE; Bernetta (Don) MacLeod, of Sherwood, PE; Lena (Roger) Burke, of Charlottetown; Ellery (Kay), of St. Felix; Geraldine Rodd, of North River, PE; Ernest (Carmella), of St. Felix; Norman (Lorraine), of Tignish; John Jr. (Cindy), of Kildare; Joanne (Austin) MacDonald, of Charlottetown; Janet LeClair, of St. Felix; and Pearl LeClair, of Tignish. She is dearly loved and will be sadly missed by her 25 grandchildren and by her 25 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a sister, Olive (late William) Pitre. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home. Visiting hours Friday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Saturday afternoon from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at 1 p.m., Rev. Brendon Gallant, celebrant. Interment in the church cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorials to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or St. Simon and St. Jude Cemetery Fund would be greatly appreciated.
