It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Mildred Adelaide Patterson age 100, on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015 at the Cove Guest Home, Sydney, where she has been a resident for the past six years.
Mildred was born in North Sydney she was a daughter of the late George and Katherine (Beaton) Johnston.
She was a longtime resident of North Sydney until taking up residence at the Cove Guest Home, where she received so much love and gave so much love in return. Mildred possessed a great sense of humour and had a lot of fun interacting with all the wonderful employees. Your kindness will always be remembered, thank you to everyone.
Mildred is survived by her sister Yvonne, New Jersey, USA, also by several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her loving husband John Patterson, her brothers, Chalmers, Russell and Franklin Johnston, Leslie Foyle and his twin sister Whillena (Foyle) Koch.
Visitation for Mildred will be held 7-9 p.m. today (Monday), in the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Nancy Ritchie officiating. Burial to follow at Lakeside Cemetery, North Sydney.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cove Guest Home or to a charity of choice.
