GILLIES, DOROTHY
Mrs. Dorothy Jean Gillies of Sussex, passed away on November 10, 2015 at the age of 82. Born in Prince William, York County, she was the daughter of the late Karl and Phyllis (Cummings) Smith.
Dorothy will be lovingly remembered by her husband Donald Gillies; her daughter Dawn Northrup (Bill) of Fox Hill, her son Wayne Gillies (Kelly) of Roachville, four sisters: Margaret Chase of Fredericton, Barbara Kilburn (Kirk) of Camlachie, ON, Mary Vanginhoven (John) of Enniskillen, ON, and Bonita Grey (Brian) of Scotch Settlement, York Co. NB; three brothers: Albert Smith and his wife Carol of Kitchener, ON, Kermit Smith (Anne) of Fredericton and Edward Smith (Donna Lee) of Fredericton; her sister-in-law June Smith of Abbotsford, BC. two grandchildren: Alex and Keaton; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Dorothy is predeceased by her brother Paul Smith and her brother-in-law Glen Kilburn, and Ken Chase.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) where visitation will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm. A service celebrating Dorothy's life will be held from Sussex Baptist Church on Friday, November 13, 2015 at 11:00 am.
