Passed away peacefully at Hospice Wellington, Guelph on Nov. 14, 2015, in her 83rd year.
Loving wife to Ernie for 55 years. Loving mother to Cameron MacEachen and Moira MacEachen (Ian Bussey).
Predeceased by her brothers George, Patrick, John, Miles, Alex, Edward, James (Squibby), and her sisters Mary MacKinnon, Evelyn Kennedy, Teresa Cosh, and Louise Morrison. Beloved daughter of the late Patrick G. Muise (mayor of New Waterford, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia 1925-1936) and the late Evelyn Muise (nee Gouthro). She will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Born in New Waterford, she moved to Mississauga, Ont. where she raised her family and made her home for over 50 years. Bereniece was a devoted nursery school teacher at Christ our King Nursery School for over 25 years. She also enjoyed working part-time at Southbrooke Retirement Home until she finally retired in January of 2014 at the age of 80! Bereniece enjoyed spending her free time singing with the North Metro Sweet Adelines for more than 30 years. She was very proud when the chorus won their first gold medal at the international championships in 1997 followed by three more gold medals.
Family and friends are invited to the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph, for visitation on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. followed by a funeral service in the chapel at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Wellington would be appreciated by the family.
