Aline O’Brien, 84, formerly of Cap-Pelé, passed away at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC on November 20, 2015. Born in Cap-Pelé on August 31st, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Hypolite and Evelyne (St-Pierre) Cormier.
Aline’s musical career spanded over a period of 50 years. She travelled Canada and Europe with her musical talents and was proud to have been the founder and director of the Alinos Choir.
She is survived by her husband: Théodule; three sons: Gérald (Margot) of Shediac, Paul of Moncton, Gilles (Rose) of Cap-Pelé; three sisters: Rita De La Garde (Roger) of Ste-Foy QC, Annette Landry (Yvon), Pauline Léger (Camille) all of Cap-Pelé; grandchildren: Pierre (Mélanie), Mélanie (Luc), Christine, Conrad, Émilie and a great-grandson: Simon.
She was predeceased by three brothers: Adrice, Bertin, Blair and a sister: Hélione LeBlanc.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 2642 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé (511-4172) on Sunday, November 22nd, 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm, Sunday, November 23rd, from 10am until time of departure at 10:45am.The funeral will be celebrated at Ste-Thérèse d’Avila Roman Catholic Church, 2648 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé on Monday at 11am. Burial will be in La Visitation Cemetery in Grand-Digue.
In memory of Aline, a contribution to the Dr. Georges-L Dumont Foundation (Palliative Care) would be appreciated.
