The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Monday, November 23, 2015 of Pius Cheverie of Elmira, age 95 years.
Beloved husband of the late Bernice Gillis. Loving father of Blaine (Rose) and Darrin Cheverie, and grampie to Nathan. Survived by brother George (Eleanor) and sisters Margaret Gillis and Dorothy MacDonald. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Joe and Howard (Eleanor), sisters Mary Ann (Raymond) Sweeney, Catherine (Eddy) Carroll, brothers-in-law Miley MacMillan, Danny Gillis and Ronnie MacDonald.
Resting at the Dingwell Funeral Home in Souris for visiting hours on Thursday, November 26, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral to be held on Friday morning, November 27, to St. Columba Roman Catholic Church for funeral mass to be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery.
