At Hotel Dieu of St. Joseph Hospital, Perth-Andover, November 28, 2015, Mrs. Doris Hunter of Plaster Rock passed away at the age of 90. She was the widow of Sherman Harry Sisson by first marriage and of Arland Hunter by second marriage. Born at Upper Blackville in 1925, she was a daughter of the late Herman and Martha (Peterson) Arbeau.
She is survived by five children, Judith Anne Rand (Daniel) of Plaster Rock, Richard Alan Sisson (Paula) of Tobique Narrows, Mary Lynn Sisson (Gary Baker) of St. Almo, Paul Edward Sisson (Melanie) of Craigs Flat and Deborah Faye Harding (Boyd) of Plaster Rock, daughter-in-law, Audra (late Timothy) of Tobique Narrows, 14 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren, two sisters, Helen Coulter of Plaster Rock and Geraldine Doucette of Miramichi, one brother, Donald Arbeau (Eleanor) of Moncton, several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a son, Timothy Sherman Sisson, grandchildren, Glenn Sisson, Lisa (and Greg) Munn and Ronald Warren, siblings, Percy, Al and Ben Arbeau and Pam Astle.
Resting at the Family Worship Center, 123 Main Street, Plaster Rock with visiting hours on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. Her funeral service will be held from the Family Worship Center on Tuesday, December 1st at 11 a.m. with Rev. D.H. McKillop officiating. Interment will be in the Plaster Rock Community Cemetery.
