GAUDET, ALYRE
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Alyre Gaudet of Trois-Ruisseaux, formerly of Scoudouc at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC. Born on March 17th, 1930, he was the youngest child of the late Willie and Jeanne (Belliveau) Gaudet.
He will forever be cherished in the hearts of his three children: Paul (Monique) of Scoudouc, Janice (Roland) Léger, Charline (Donald) LeBlanc both of Trois-Ruisseaux; his granddaughter: Venessa Léger, who was his pride and joy and also by several nieces, nephews as well as sisters and brothers-in-law.
He was a small, humble man who was loved by all. He will forever be remembered for his beautiful smile, wonderful sense of humor and the sparkle of his beautiful blue eyes. Always a hardworking man, he had proudly joined the Airforce in his 20’s where he apprenticed as an aircraft mechanic, working in his field for many years. Later, he worked for Canfor Building Supplies where he retired after 23 years of dedicated service.
Alyre was predeceased by his loving wife, Aurore, in November 2006. The last surviving member of his family, he was also predeceased by his six brothers: Léo Landry, Alfred Landry, Camille Gaudet, Gérard Gaudet, Albion Gaudet, Ulysse Gaudet; by his five sisters: Laura Melanson, Dorilla Melanson, Lorraine Gould, Célina Bourque and Catherine Richard.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 2642 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé (577-3297) on Tuesday, December 1st from 2:00 to 4:00pm and from 7:00 to 9:00pm, Wednesday, December 2nd from 9:30 till time of departure at 10:15am. The funeral service will be celebrated at Ste. Thérèse d’Avila Roman Catholic Church, 2648 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé on Wednesday December 2nd at 10:30am.
In memory of Alyre, a contribution to the Ste. Thérèse d’Avila Roman Catholic Church, church heating system or the parish cemetery would be appreciated.
